Mailbutler is obviously a nice app, but it feels very bloated to have these icons on my machine. Is there a way I can remove the Notification bar icon and the icon thats at the bottom corner of my mail app
thanks for your inquiry. It is not possible to remove the icon at the bottom corner of your mail. However, it is possible to remove the the menu bar (/helper app) following these instructions:
- Go to System Preferences on your computer
- Klick on Users & Groups
- Select Login Items.
- Tick the box “Hide”
Keep in mind that this might lead to you not receiving any notifications concerning updates or “out of actions” issues.
These used to be preferences under Mailbutler app, but ever since the preferences moved to the browser, this functionality was lost. It is a pity.
Thanks for your message. Yes, you are right. Actually, Mailbutler will always add itself back to the list of apps. There’s no way to permanently remove the Mailbutler Companion app at the moment. However, we are considering to make it possible to remove the Companion app permanently in the future.
