Uninstall Mailbutler

This guide shows you how to remove Mailbutler from your system depending on the version of Mailbutler you have installed.

How to uninstall Mailbutler 1.0 (Legacy version)

  1. First, log into your Apple Mail
  2. Now locate and click on Help in the Apple Mail menu bar
  3. Click Uninstall Mailbutler

Common Mistake

Don’t delete any folder or the Mailbutler application in your finder before you uninstall Mailbutler. If you did, please reinstall Mailbutler and follow the instructions above first. 

Delete your Mailbutler account

  1. First, sign in to your Mailbutler Dashboard
  2. Now click Manage Subscription as shown belowScreenshot of Mailbutler Manage Subscriptions button
  3. You can then click Cancel SubscriptionScreenshot of Mailbutler subscription button
  4. After that, click Edit Profile
  5. Finally, click Delete Profile to delete your Mailbutler account

How to uninstall Mailbutler 2.0

Follow the steps below to uninstall the new Mailbutler 2.0

  1. Log in to your Apple Mail or Gmail account
  2. Click on the Mailbutler icon in your Mac or Google Chrome menu bar (at the top right of your screen)

Apple Mail

     3. Now, click the settings button at the bottom right
     4. Click Uninstall Mail plugin

Common mistake: Don’t delete any folder or the Mailbutler application in your finder before you uninstall Mailbutler. If you did, please reinstall Mailbutler and follow this instruction.

Gmail

  1. Open Gmail
  2. Right mouse click on the Mailbutler icon at the top right of your browser
  3. Click Remove from Chrome

How to manually uninstall Mailbutler in Apple Mail

  1. Open Finder
  2. Press Cmd+Shift+G on your keyboard
  3. Enter ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/ and confirm
  4. Remove Mailbutler.mailbundle
  5. Start Activity Monitor and terminate Mailbutler process
  6. Remove Mailbutler local storage files in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Mail/Data/Documents
  7. Remove Mailbutler sound files in ~/Library/Sounds
  8. Open Finder and delete the Mailbutler app in your Application Folder
