How do I uninstall Mailbutler?

This guide shows you how to remove Mailbutler from your system depending on the version of Mailbutler you have installed.

How to uninstall Mailbutler (2.0 or up)

Follow the steps below to uninstall Mailbutler 2.

      1. Log in to your Apple Mail or Gmail account.
    1. Click on the Mailbutler icon in your Mac or Google Chrome menu bar (at the top right of your screen).

     3. Now, click the settings button at the bottom right.

Gmail

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. Right mouse click on the Mailbutler icon at the top right of your browser.

  3. Click Remove from Chrome.

Common mistake: Don’t delete any folder or the Mailbutler application in your finder before you uninstall Mailbutler. If you did, please reinstall Mailbutler and follow this instruction.

How to manually uninstall Mailbutler (2.0 or up) in Apple Mail

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Press Cmd+Shift+G on your keyboard.
  3. Enter /Library/Mail/Bundles/ and confirm.
  4. Remove Mailbutler.mailbundle.
  5. Start Activity Monitor and terminate Mailbutler process.
  6. Open Finder and delete the Mailbutler app in your Application Folder.
  7. Remove all of Mailbutler files in your Download and Application folders.
  8. Go to Trash and empty it.

How to uninstall Mailbutler 1.0 (Legacy version)

  1. Log into your Apple Mail.
  2. Locate and click on Help in the Apple Mail menu bar.
  3. Click Uninstall Mailbutler.

Common Mistake

Don’t delete any folder or the Mailbutler application in your finder before you uninstall Mailbutler. If you did, please reinstall Mailbutler and follow the instructions above first. 

How to manually uninstall MailButler 1.0 in Apple Mail

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Press Cmd+Shift+G on your keyboard.
  3. Enter ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/ and confirm.
  4. Remove MailButler.mailbundle.
  5. Repeat the last two steps for /Library/Mail/Bundles.
  6. Start Activity Monitor and terminate MailButler process.
  7. Open Finder and delete the MailButler app in your Application Folder.
  8. Open Apple Mail and delete the MailButler Smart Mailboxes.
  9. Remove all of Mailbutler files in your Download and Application folders.
  10. Go to Trash and empty it.
