How can I Snooze an email?

Mailbutler lets you temporarily hide any emails you want to deal with later. Snoozed emails will reppear in your inbox at a later date and time of your choosing.

Snooze an email for later

1. Open Apple Mail or Gmail.

2. Select the email you want to snooze.

3. Locate the Snooze button.

4. Click on the drop-down arrow of the Snooze button to set the time and date you want the message to reappear in your inbox.

5. Your email is now in the Mailbutler – Snoozed folder.

6. If you click on the email, it will open on the right side of your mail window. There you can unsnooze it if you want to by clicking on the respective button.

7. Once you have unsnoozed an email, it will reappear in your inbox.

3. Locate the Snooze button.

4. Set the time and date you want the email to reappear in your inbox.

5. The email is now in the Snoozed folder.

6. If you click on the email your message will open. In there you can unsnooze your email by clicking on Unsnooze.

7. Once you have unsnoozed an email, it will reappear at the top of your inbox.

Configure Snooze settings in Dashboard

You can change default settings of Snooze in your Preferences.

1. Open your Dashboard.

2 . From the drop-down menu of Account Settings, select Preferences.

3. Under the General tab, locate the Snooze preferences:

  • Snooze to working hours only – temporarily archive emails you want to deal with during your specific office hours.

  • Snooze default time interval – set the default time frame for Mailbutler to temporarily snooze messages you want to deal with later. This will appear in your inbox as the default custom date when snoozing a message (see Apple Mail picture from step 4).
  • Snooze time intervals – you will archive your emails according to the time frames you set here (check Apple Mail picture from step 4).

4. Click Save.

Click the save button at the bottom of the page.

Compatibility Mode for Snooze on Apple Mail

If you fail to Snooze a message on Apple Mail, this may be due to an unsupported email server. Email accounts that are not fully compatible can use Snooze under Compatibility Mode. Please refer to this article on how.
