How do I download and install Mailbutler Beta?

By using our beta extension you can be among the first to try out the new features and functionalities that we introduce to Mailbutler. This article guides you through the step-by-step process for downloading and installing Mailbutler Beta.

Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee the full stability of a beta version of our extension. Unexpected issues might occur during usage.

Download and install Mailbutler Beta

Apple Mail

1. If you currently have Mailbutler installed, please make sure to:

a) Quit the Apple Mail app

2. Go to https://beta.mailbutler.io/downloads and log in to your Mailbutler account.

3. Download the Apple Mail plug-in.

4. Double click on the zip file in your downloads folder.

5. Open the Mailbutler installer file.

6. Confirm the installation by clicking Open.

8. If requested, give permission to install Mailbutler by clicking OK.

11. Once the installation is finished, restart Apple Mail.

12. If you are using macOS Mojave and above, enable the Mailbutler plug-in by following the instructions on this article.

13. Click on the Mailbutler icon on your menu bar to open your companion app. Then log in to your Mailbutler account to activate the plugin.

14. You can check if you have successfully installed our beta app by going to Mail-Preferences-Mailbutler and looking at the bottom-right corner for a BETA ribbon.

Gmail

1. If you currently have the Mailbutler for Gmail extension installed, please make sure to disable it from your chrome extension settings.

2. Go to https://beta.mailbutler.io/downloads and log in to your Mailbutler account.

3. Select Mailbutler for Gmail.

4. You will be redirected to our Mailbutler for Gmail (Beta) page in Chrome Web Store. Click Add to Chrome.

5. Confirm the installation by clicking on Add Extension.

6. After the download is finished, you will be automatically redirected to your Gmail inbox via a new tab.

7. Log in to your Mailbutler account.

8. To check whether you have successfully installed our beta extension go to your chrome extensions and see if Mailbutler for Gmail (Beta) is present and enabled.
